A unique way of celebrating new year, which starts 4 days before the Nepali New year. Its a festival where there is rivalry between people participating to pull the chariot upward or downward the Taumadi square at Bhaktapur.
I was never able to witness this festival on the first day, and for people observing it for the first time is something which they will cherish their entire life. Its interesting how one chariot carrying images of the God Bhairab is pulled to opposite direction and how it moves is very interesting.
In past there have been reported few human casualties when these two group fought with each other to take the chariot to their locality first. I have captured some glimpses and a video of this festival, hope you guys will enjoy watching the picture and the video
