Rice plantation photography trip to Khokana

Khokana is a small village near Kathmandu valley, Now it is under Lalitpur Sub Metropolitan city. This is an ancient Newari village where still people have saved their lands for farming. I and my friends planed for a trip to this village to capture some moment of people doing rice plantation.


This place is also famous for fried mustard oil. Till few years back, few old men used to carry on their shoulder and used to deliver at homes in the city, but now a days we don’t see these old men but still we can get pure mustard oil here.
This year I missed to take picture on ashad 15, the day farmers celebrate with rice planation. We nepali commonly called it “dahi chiura khaane din” (curd and beaten rice eating day).
