The Taj Mahal – A Token of Love

I have heard the story about this historical place a lot; I have also seen pictures of it many times, watched it on television and read articles about it. While going through the pictures, I thought it was just a historical place and could not see anything to make myself believe that it is one of the seven wonders of modern world.

When I visited this place I came to know why it is called Seven Wonders of the World. It is not just a token of love from the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan to his favorite wife Mumtaz but it can be considered as the finest example of Mughal architecture, a style that combines elements from Persian, Ottoman, Indian, and Islamic architectural styles.

The first word that came from my mouth as I entered the main entrance to Taj Mahal and saw it for the first time with my eyes was WOW, simply wow, it was awesome not just me every one there were saying wow. Just imagine how fascinating it is.

The white marble changing it’s color through the sun’s position, seeing it from different angle watching the architecture up close, the design of Mughal art on the walls is a different experience you would get after visiting that place.  Now I came to know why people come from all around the world to watch The Taj Mahal, why it is called the Seven Wonders of the World.
