First of all I would like to wish Happy New Year 2013.

I always wanted to do some street photography at unknown city, Phnom Penh, Combodia turn out to be a perfect place to try some street photography for me. Many People might have different views on street photography, but for me i just tried to capture some moments that i saw while walking around this city.

I have no idea about the norms of street photography, but I love to take picture so that the subject does not notice, but it is hard when you walk around with 50 mm lens. As you see some people just smiled at my camera when they noticed it, but at times they turned their face down or hide, so I felt bad and did not take their pictures. Anyway, enjoy my shots and if you have any suggestion then please let me know. I  wanna improve them in my next unknown city tour.

Standard Chartered Bangkok Marathon - 2011

It was a great experience to watch Standard Chartered Bangkok Marathon 2011, Bangkok at 3 am. I was invited by our Nepali participant Mr. Mahendra Man Maharjan and his coach our veteran player Mr. Baikuntha Manandhar.

It was a memorable time to watch the start of the game and talk with Mr. Manandhar. He shared his past experience with me and my other friends Dr. Ashish Subedi from Nepal and Mr. Hilal and Mr. Alam from Pakistan. There were many runners from around the world of different age.

Patan Durbar Square is one of the world heritage site in Nepal which is recognized by UNESCO. It is one of the oldest city of Kathmandu valley. It is always a good time going around to these heritage sites with friends. I just wanted to share some of the picture from Patan Durbar Square, Mangalbazar and few photographs taken during Kartik Naach festival which is celebrated every year at this place. There are many temples around this area, the major being the Krishna Mandir temple. Right now many renovation work is going around to maintain the cultural heritage in this area.

I went to Basantapur to capture some moments at day and night time. This is a world heritage site, we have five story palace, Taleju Bhawani Temple, Kumari Ghaar and Hanuman Dhoka. Hippie era’s famous freak street also lies around this area.

While Taking picture at night, I felt something was missing here. This is a world heritage site and we can attract lots of tourist here at night too but that time I did not find a single tourist around.

I wish if the concerns authority of  Basantapur Durbar square do something to promote tourist activities at night in this area. I was visualizing how would the Taleju Bhawani Temple and Nine Story Palace looks if they use some Flood lights there, or use some focus light at Gaddi Baithak.

It was my dream to take some picture of rock band performing and watch the concert in front row. This time I got this opportunity in Kathmandu.  I think that Nepal is now opening up for some great rock bands. We saw Bryan Adams last year, there was a rumor that The Scorpions are coming (this news excited me but there is no news after the announcement about it) and next month Kathmandu is going to see Michael Learns To Rock (MLTR). On 15th October there was another event organized by the Silence Festival which tried to expose some underground music scene of Nepal. This event just did not expose Nepalese underground music but it invited one of the pioneers of death metal Vader from Poland.
