This festival of Pokhara is unique in itself. It had a documented history of more than 270 years, but locals say it existed from more than that time period. Previously, this festival was celebrated in every 12 years’ time but now they celebrate this in every 6 years.

How would you feel when you reach the place you wished or dreamed of without knowing? Same thing happen to me in this incident. She requested me and my other Nepali friend Ms. Neesha Tandukar.
It was a day of Holi Festival, when we reach Dharmasala and due to that I missed my Delhi Holi, but I was more excited to see Dharmasala, the exile government and Dalai Lama. I was unfortunate that the exile government security persons did not allow me to take my camera inside the monastery where Dalai Lama was preaching. I had to satisfy with Dalai Lama’s preach and to see him live in front of me.

It is not just a token of love from the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan to his favorite wife Mumtaz but it can be considered as the finest example of Mughal architecture, a style that combines elements from Persian, Ottoman, Indian, and Islamic architectural styles.
I am still in Delhi and exploring every thing in this metropolitan. From the beggars to richest people of the world, from Metro train to rickshaw, from Rolls Royce to bull carts on the Delhi street.

This time since I am spending couple of months in Delhi, finally I got opportunity to visit Haridwar 200 Km away from Delhi. We really had a memorable travel to Haridwar and had some exciting experience. We return at night where heavy fog was disturbing our driver to drive. We had our eyes wide open at night if he is driving safe. Thank god he was an experience driver and brought us back to Delhi safe. Continue reading »
