There is no doubt that Kathmandu valley is rich in culture, heritage and festivals. Everyday somewhere in the city there is some festival going on. Kathmandu is also known as the city of temples and all these temples hold one festival or another.
Chabahil is one of the old center in Kathmandu with its own history. It is near to Bouddha and Pashupatinath. Besides that, history has it that Princess Charumati, daughter of Emperor Ashoka built a Buddhist bihar here, one of the oldest bihar in town, which is known as Charumati bihar.
In Hindu mythology, Lord Vishnu has 10 different avatar and one of them is of Narsingha.
The musical play which is played at Patan Durbar Square every year features the story of Pralad, Hiranyakaishapu and Narsingha avatar. This musical dance show is more than 300 years old and still the local people of Patan have preserved it and perform this every year.

Once or in a couple of months’ time I go out with my friends and camera for photography. We try to explore new places each time. Sometimes we reach to some photogenic places and sometime we just have to get back empty hand. This time one of our friends suggested us to go Ravi Opi village which is situated north of Chandeshwori Temple, Banepa. Half the way to this place is paved and half is offroad.
Kartik Naach, a musical dance festival which is played at Mangal bazar dabali, of the Patan Durbar Square, every year. This year the festival will last for 12 days. These picture are from the 5th day of the festival.
Every year Newar community from different places of Nepal celebrated the Nepal sambat . I haven’t got the chance to see the rally form other city but I manage to go to Basantapur at Kathmandu to observe this rally. This year I manage to capture some portraits
