World Heritage site - Boudha Nath StupaBoudha Nath Stupa

I always wanted to have some evening shots of Boudha Nath Stupa. It is one of the World Heritage Site listed by UNESCO. This year on the day of Buddha Jayanti i got this opportunity. Me and my friends Mr. Rukesh Shrestha, Mr. Samir Pradhananga and Mr. Pritush Maharjan were lucky enough to get the perfect place to capture some moments. I would like to thank the person from Sakura Restaurant who allowed us to go to their rooftop so that we can take some shots. It’s really sad that the potential tourist destination like Boudha have time limit for the visitors and devotees to spend time on the stupa, as they were asked to leave the stupa premises after 8 p.m. Me and Samir had some concept to take the picture from the inside premises of the stupa but we could not do it due to this rule. Hope some day we go again and request the guards to get our dream shot.

I am one of the enthusiast photographer who frequently roam around places and take pictures and post them in social networking sites to get people’s view on my photography. I always wished if I can earn some money from it or at least it get published in some newspapers or website.
I have seen few of my photographs being used in different site and shared in Facebook by different users. Some asked for permission from me by contacting me personally, some just gave credit to me and I found some erasing my watermark and using it.

First of all I would like to wish Happy New Year 2013.

I always wanted to do some street photography at unknown city, Phnom Penh, Combodia turn out to be a perfect place to try some street photography for me. Many People might have different views on street photography, but for me i just tried to capture some moments that i saw while walking around this city.

I have no idea about the norms of street photography, but I love to take picture so that the subject does not notice, but it is hard when you walk around with 50 mm lens. As you see some people just smiled at my camera when they noticed it, but at times they turned their face down or hide, so I felt bad and did not take their pictures. Anyway, enjoy my shots and if you have any suggestion then please let me know. I  wanna improve them in my next unknown city tour.
