Nepal’s political demonstration and burning tire had been synonyms to each other. Tire is always related to political demonstration and protest in Nepal. I have been seeing the burning of tire in Nepal since the 1990’s people movement. Many questions are raised for the effects on public health due to tire burning. Even the parliament took decision to not to burn tire for protest and demonstration, but the same parties who passed that resolution are burning tires in every demonstration that they make.
People of Nepal already accepted the dirty politics going on in Nepal, now we are forced to accept the dirty air to breath, they have made the natural environment also dirty, the air we inhale to live is impure, don’t know what that air is going to effect in our health.
Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way
Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but its sinking
And racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in the relative way, but you’re older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death
Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over, thought I’d something more to say
Home, home again
I like to be here when I can
And when I come home cold and tired
Its good to warm my bones beside the fire
Far away across the field
The tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells.
The above lyric is from the song “TIME” by Pink Floyd from their album Dark Side of The Moon. I feel this lyric has so many things to tell. I have heard so many songs, but the lyric of this song has special place in my heart. It’s not about a love song to memories to remember your girlfriend. This lyric is more than a love; it is above all the lyrics I have heard. I would like to keep this lyric above all the lyrics that have been written and that will be written in future. It is the most inspirational lyrics that the world will listen to.
Today August 6th 2007, I was on my way back home from teku, I saw few kids near Machali Paati smoking, that scene really made me stop my bike. I was watching their activities. It was really amazing to watch them smoking that way. It seems like they have been introduce to smoking habit for long time. I could not see any fear in their face, they looked so relaxed. They were in their own world, having fun with each other making fun of each others, joking and laughing, and giving a pose for the camera while they continued to smoke.
Boys giving pose while they smoking
When my camera focused on them, they saw me and they were more excited to get captured by my camera. They started giving different pose and started to smoke in different style, same time one of the guy spoke out, “dai (brother in nepali), will you give us some money if we allow you to take more of our picture”. I said ok, so they ran towards me and started asking me to give them some money. Who is to blame for their such actions?
We don’t want some in-between agreement. We want something that will last.
I think the royalist party in Nepal must be included in the new government. They are one of the biggest political parties in the country. They haven’t taken part in the talks – but their concerns must definitely be considered.
If we don’t include the royalists, we might see another civil war. Nepal might become another Iraq or Afghanistan. Continue reading »
This is my first blog on my site sangesh.com.np. I have started this blog site of my own to post my thoughts and feelings. Lots of things go in my mind, some are rubbish and some are which I think are good. All these things that happens in my mind always stayed inside my mind, they never came out, so I thought blog site will be the best to put on my thoughts and feelings so that the whole world can read it, analyze it, give me feed back and some can implement it for their own life.
I really love to give comments and thought on current affairs, especially what happening in today’s NEPAL, my homeland, my beloved country, because of the dirty politics, this country turned into hell from heaven. Lots of politicians came in and went out, every one promised to make this small country what it used to be called KINGDOM OF NEPAL ( Sounds so sweet and lovely ) into Switzerland, Singapore but no one could make it, yeah off course they made their personal life from normal Nepali standard to European standard. Now they are in a verge to change old Nepal into new Nepal.
I support Local Empowerment. So, I’m sharing this Everest Base Camp Trek to promote a new way of trekking where trekkers can empower the local service providers like lodges, guides and porters by booking services directly through them. #empoweringthehimalayas #freetriptoeverest
