Now-a-days Facebook is a part of life as so many people love to post message on their wall so that their friends can see them. Some post are personal and some don’t deal with their personal life but informative or awareness type. Today I was going through my Facebook and in one of my friend’s wall I read this:

Facebook status message

“If the person who killed the 90+ in Norway was a Muslim, the Press would have declared him as a terrorist. For now though, he is just an ‘Assailant ‘, ‘Attacker’ (Reuters), ‘Gunman’ (BBC, CNN & Al Jazeera). Looks like ‘Terrorist ‘ is a name reserved for Muslims? The US Dept of State calls it an ‘Act of Violence’, not an ‘Act of Terrorism’. Share this status and let the world know hypocrisy is leading us all astray “

The next second I though yeah it is, yeah when the news appear first they said it was an terrorist attack, some even tried to link it with Muslim. But later they came to know that there was new story in that attack and the motive behind it.

For me it was a terror attack, the attacker wants people to know that he is against his country immigration law. He hated the immigrants. He thought that his culture is in danger due to these immigrants.

Is the word terrorist is reserve for Muslims only? or the ones who do terror works in developing country like Nepal’s Maoist party are still in terrorist list of America. I think this word “Terrorist” should not be used by any media. Either we need to call all the organization or people who bring terror as a terrorist or just name them after the cause for which they are making terror.

We all need hand in hand to make this world a better place to live, let’s not discriminate each other in the name of skin color, race, religion and culture.
