Hisila Yami, Babu Ram Bhattrai, Michelle Obama and Barack ObamaPicture taken from http://www.baburambhattarai.com/

We all Nepali have a positive thinking about our current Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai. He is currently in official visit to United State to attend United Nations General assembly. His party is still listed as terrorist by the American government but he is in official visit to USA as a Nepali Prime Minister.

All the Nepalese are happy to have him as a prime minister as we hope he can do something for this country. His wife Mrs. Hisila Yami is also communist leader who was a minister in previous government of Nepal.

Today I saw a picture of this lovely couple taken during their meeting with The President of the United States Mr. Barak Obama and his wife. It’s saddening the way our Prime Minister and his wife dressed up. The world knows Nepal as the country which has multi diversity in culture and tradition. We have so many ethnic dresses and just few weeks ago the country had a debate on which dress should be called national dress.

For past few months “For the change Nepal unites” is a popular slogan among the Facebook users of Nepal. As the wind of change wave hit the Middle East for last few month, Nepalese citizen who are aware of what their politicians are doing for the country also thought they need to do something to save the country and started gathering around the constitutional assembly (CA) building at New Baneshwore. Right now I am not in Nepal but on their  first day of protest at CA building I also took  part.

Now this Slogan just did not gather around CA house to aware the politicians, but these enthusiast and energetic youth of Nepal have started a movement to make the people aware saying “We can and We will do it”. This movement has been showing other Nepalese that we are not a citizen of a handicap country; if we have ‘will’ then we can do it.

We have seen many changes after the 2nd people’s movement in Nepal; these changes are limited to change of name related to royal family. They took royal out from Nepal Airlines, changed the name of hospitals and schools named after royal family members.

We have been hearing they want to change the Tribhuwan University name too. I found one institute which is under Tribhuwan University, but someone has changed its name. Do you think it is right? It shows that there is no law and order in our country. It shows the institute administration have no power or they are not aware of such activities which show there is no rules and regulation in the institute.

Bryan Adams - Bare Bones

Please forgive me” is probably the first song I heard from Bryan Adams. It was my teenage time and his love songs rooted deep inside me. I still love to hear his songs “18 till I die“, “Everything I do I do it for you“, “Here I am” many more to name here.

In Nepal we rarely have some quality concerts and which are memorable. One of the memorable concerts I had attended in Nepal was WORLD MUSIC DAY concert in the year 1995, at Basantapur. After that it was the concert of singer Deepak Bajracharya. His concert was special to the Nepali audience because he hired a sound engineer from Australia and we could feel for the first time what a concert sound should be like.

Talking about Bryan Adams concert, just read what he had tweeted “Just flew over Everest into Katmandu, Nepal. We are the 1st western band to play here. With all the music in the world how is that possible?” he himself is feeling so proud to be the 1st western band to perform in Nepal.

Nepal flag for peace

My Nepal My Pride

Today people of Kathmandu valley gathered at Basantapur, Kathamndu to show all the leaders and political parties that people of Nepal want peace and are against strike and bands which has been the main obstacle for the development of Nepal.

People showed their power today, and it was a rally without any leaders. There were no one to lead the rally. It was in true – a peaceful rally. I have never seen people carrying so many Nepali Flag and walking; walking for long-term peace. It shows how much love we have for our country.

Tribute to the freedom fighter and peace maker of Nepal

It is one of the darkest day in the history of Nepal. Yesterday at 12:10 a.m. we lost one of our leader who dedicated his life to make Nepal a democratic country. Late Mr. Girija Prasad Koirala the person who will be always there in Nepalese history for his sacrifice for the country.
