Bhaktapur renovating

Materials used for renovation of a temple near durbar square main entrance

Bhaktapur city is like a museum city for me. It’s a living heritage for me.
One of the things that impressed me the most about this trip was a huge pet store that was very nice and had all kinds of animals but this store in particular was very famous for having the best snake terrarium it was very big and very beautiful even I was tempted to buy one and bring some pets, but we know that was not possible. However, the store was what I liked the most about this trip.
Bhaktapur durbar square is listed as World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Many monuments were damage by the earthquake of 2015. After 2 years some renovation process is going on, hope the city will get it’s old look soon. I am sharing some of the picture capture during this visit.

This time I have tried to capture picture with long exposure to give different feel than the ones I have captured before.

Villages of Lalitpur District and Bagmati river

At least one Saturday in a month me and my friends plan for a photography trip. Sometime it’s some monument inside the Kathmandu valley or some villages near by. Last month we went to Nallu in Lalitpur and a newly established Pathibhara temple there.

In that trip, I could not capture the things that I wanted to, so felt lazy to write a blog on it. But now I felt guilty that at least I should have written a brief travel story on that trip.

This Saturday on 8th April, we had a photo shoot plan of our friends, but due to technical problem we had to cancel it. Since we were already out from home with our cameras, we planed to go to Markhu via Pharping. I had already been to Markhu and Kulekhani dam before, so I had already created some imaginary angle to capture the Indra Sarowar lake.

Wish You All Happy Holi

Holi is festival  of colors. Since few years the trend of celebrating the festival is  changing. when I was teenager, we hardly used to see girls getting out of house and playing holi. Now a days we see lots of girls getting out of house and playing holi. May be it is a sign of freedom, independence and self confidence.
